He has a long association with Lionel trains as one of the company’s owners and as an innovator in Lionel’s train control systems. The “Greendale” set is a tribute to Young’s ideal world where everyone is equal and politicians are honest (Okay, so we can dream!). Besides that, it’s a set packed with value. The set includes a powerful streamlined diesel locomotive, a boxcar with opening doors, an animated gondola, a chrome-plated “Big Oil” tank car, a television news car and an open-platform observation car. It is supplied with a 40” x 60” oval of FasTrack and the powerful CW-80 watt transformer. A “Greendale” CD is also included. Allied has one of the few remaining sets available.
